Mold remediation addresses the affected materials and conditions within an agreed scope of work. Mold removal is part of that process when materials need to be cleaned or removed. You may also see remediation described as mold abatement.
Review the scope. We discuss the affected areas, review any independent assessor's findings or remediation protocol you already have, and explain the proposed work and quote.
Contain the affected area. Containment appropriate to the work helps limit the spread of dust and mold particles. Occupants and pets stay outside the contained area.
Clean or remove materials. We clean suitable surfaces and remove affected materials included in the agreed scope, such as drywall, insulation or flooring.
Dry, filter and monitor. Drying equipment and HEPA air filtration run as needed, with brief monitoring visits to take moisture readings and check progress.

Drywall replacement, painting and rebuilding are separate from our remediation service, and you choose the contractor for those repairs. Read what happens during mold remediation, or see our mold removal service for material removal details.

The phone consultation and quote are free. Larger or more complex projects may need a site-specific estimate. We confirm scope, price and payment arrangements before work begins. You pay us directly; credit cards are accepted. We do not offer financing or payment plans.

Drying equipment remains running at the property for about 3–5 days, depending on moisture conditions and the scope of work. The crew returns as needed to check the equipment and moisture readings. The crew does not normally remain in your home throughout that period. Larger or more complex projects take longer.

For localized work, you can often remain in unaffected areas of the home, provided there is suitable space separate from the contained work area. Nobody, including children and pets, should enter the contained area while work is underway.
We discuss occupancy arrangements based on the project's extent, containment and any occupant health concerns, consistent with EPA guidance on occupants during remediation. See how long mold remediation takes.

We do not sell assessments, sampling, laboratory testing or clearance. Those are separately arranged and paid with a licensed assessor of your choice, often the assessor who performed the original assessment, and are not part of our remediation quote. Our sister company under the same parent, Miami Mold Assessment, is one option; you are free to choose any licensed assessor.
